My Work and Why it Matters
Dr. Ansley was interviewed on New Zealand's prime television network in January 2026 about her work, and the professional collaboration she is leading.

I am a New Zealand trained specialist general practitioner with 20+ years of clinical experience. I lived at the Centrepoint cult when I was a child, an experience which informs and drives much of my work.
Since 2015 I have been a leader in the New Zealand cult awareness and education space, writing, speaking in media and presenting at public events about the harms of cults in New Zealand.
I regularly speak on podcasts, and I co-host the Cult Chat podcast, which is an award winning New Zealand podcast and radio show all about cults in New Zealand.
I am a leader in the New Zealand health system, having lead a prominent Health New Zealand health systems education and communication project for 8 years.
I co-lead New Zealand's only multidisciplinary network of professionals which is dedicated to improving recovery pathways, reducing recruitment, and advocating for the needs of people impacted by group coercive control in New Zealand.
